So, I'm writing/editing Chapter 19, right? (Chapters might change, so don’t hold me to this—still in the editing phase.)
This is going to be an intense scene. It's a trial. But it's also finally explaining a past murder within the books. Remember that hand from the gala? Yeah, we are finally finding out WHO that was!
Note: As the author writing this, imagining this, and even drawing it out so I can see it (I’m an artist and VERY imaginative to the point that I have MANY nightmares—but it’s good for storytelling, haha…).
It's also a combo of what is going on in the world right now. The entire Epstein thing... yeah, I read and looked at some of those photos. Some of them are all blacked out, which is great, but there's this one with the chickens side by side and then a black box in the middle. Yeah, some of what was under that block was sticking out, and let me tell you—I wish I could scrub that image from my mind. I wish with everything I have I could literally erase the centimeter of that image that, with this super imagination, I can create the entire thing that was blacked out. I’m too imaginative, and I should… no one should ever see something that horrendous. It's evil. It's abhorrent. It's everything that humans should never even have to fear... but... well... power, the supernatural... sometimes those things are too powerful.
Moving on from that... I created this next murder scene. And sadly, it builds off of that.
BUT with an adult because I just CAN NOT handle children stuff. It's too evil.
In this new murder scene... and I think it's SO crafty. It's creepy. It's symbolic. It's STUFFED with everything the new detective needs to figure out WHO is/are doing these murders. And gosh, this murder scene hits it right on the head with the symbolism it is giving off. (The sovereign is pissed. But Gabrielle is even more pissed. She's also restrained, but... you'll find out about that later.) I think this might be one of the most disturbing murder scenes. It's definitely giving Hannibal, it's giving messed-up, it's giving... I should be in a mental ward.
Just know that if you have a demented mind like me, well, you'll maybe point to where this is going.
I hope y'all are taking notes because details matter.
ART UPDATE – I’ve contacted a few artists (because I just don’t have the time for writing, editing, posting, AND spending time with my family AND being the artist I want to be). I really like their style, and I’m excited to give them some ideas and then promote the heck out of this book.
BUT – I have some preliminary artwork for the cover... so we shall see if I move forward with that or give it to another artist. We shall see! Maybe I'll even redo the first one...
