Mmmmmmmmmm. Bitch, this is after my first recording session of my new YouTube series "Read With Me: The Author's Cut." I wanna name it Author's Cult but I mean, that's a little dark and this is extremely lighthearted... other than the words that I'm reading from my book.
Listen, the whole reason I'm doing this is because I think it's gonna be fun. It's also going to remind me how much I need to work on Book 2 because GIRL, I worked hard on Book 1 and I need to go just as hard, if not harder, to make Book 2 just as fucking good.
Wow, writing is hard when you're a little TIPSAY.
Anyways...
I'm mega excited for the series because I think it'll give me another connection to readers and YouTube and it'll show who I am a bit more, which I think people like. It's cute. I think. I'll always have a glass or drinky drinky. There are rules!
Every time I see a mess up, spelling error, or something I don't like OR something I LOVE... I'm going to take a drink — or gulp — and then move on. But I'm also going to be doing some commentary because that's fun. I like to talk during movies and books. Yes, I am that person... but only during a movie I've seen already and the other person has too... no one likes a spoiler or interrupter, and I'm only those kinds of people if we have both watched the movie before. (Don't ask my husband because he'll tell you that's a lie.)
So make sure to check it out, subscribe, like, and all those good things. I think I'll get better at editing as time goes on. I'm a newbie, so no hate — and if you want to hate, f it, haters are great too.
But let's review!
Recording is fun and cute but it's also a bitch hahahahahahha. I messed up I don't know how many times and had to redo a few things a few times. And after a few sips... I had to reread a few things a bit more than I would have liked. I'm also loving the new shirts that I got to record these but also to wear in general. SO SO cute — from Shein. Also my nails... I got gel nail polish and a blue light to set the nails. SO WORTH IT. But the trick is to have it under the blue light for like 5 minutes each... not sure about the chemical radiation or whatever... but so far I'm happy with the results.
Okay, back on topic. I love reading, but definitely nervous for people to hear me read... reading in public is done once... reading on the internet is FOREVER. I don't think I sound like an idiot... but IIIII think I sound like an idiot. Ya know what I mean?
Another bonus from doing this is making corrections for the second edition of Nexus Crest. This is a HUGE bonus. As soon as I am done with Book 2, I'll be able to put the first chapter in Book 1 to get people excited to buy the second book. I'll also be doing a hard cover, so this just goes more into the fact that a second edition is needed. It'll all come together when the time comes to release Book 2.
Anyways, I'm intoxicated, it's a Friday night, I'm going to bed hahahahah. Nighty night!
