Updates!
Gosh, it has been a while. But it was a much-needed while.
I feel like I blinked, and suddenly months have passed. Between writing, editing, planning, creating, trying to understand social media, and attempting to balance being an author with simply being a person, it has been a whirlwind. Here I am trying to stay focused and pour everything I have into Nexus Crest, and somehow social media continues to demand more and more pieces of me.
That little view number has slowly become an obsession of mine, and honestly? It is not always the healthiest thing. As an author in today’s world, there is this strange expectation that you are not only supposed to write the book—you are supposed to market the book, create the content, understand the algorithm, build the community, and somehow convince the internet that your story deserves to be seen.
But you are not here for me to complain. 😂 You are here for the updates. And trust me... There are A LOT of updates. First things first...
**I HAVE CHOSEN A RELEASE DATE.**
Yes! You heard me correctly.
After all the planning, the editing, the late nights, the doubts, the excitement, and the constant question of “Am I actually ready for this?”... I have chosen a release date for Nexus Crest Book 2!!!!

Writing that feels so surreal because for so long, Book 2 has just existed as this massive world inside my head. It has been something I have been building, shaping, destroying, rewriting, and obsessing over for what feels like forever. And now it has ANOTHER date attached to it. It's not just book 1...IT'S BOOK 2!!
Now, am I a little nervous?
Absolutely.
Especially because this release date lines up with another VERY, VERY big book release. (Insert me staring at my calendar and questioning whether I am brave or completely insane. 😂) It's also one of my favorite series that I have also been obsessing over for the past 5 years.
But this is the date and the story is coming. I could not be more excited.
Which brings me to the next update...
**The cover is complete.**
Well... 99% complete. 😉 I am almost completely certain this is the one. And I love it. I mean, I truly love it.
The cover feels like Nexus Crest. It captures the atmosphere, the symbolism, the darkness, and the emotions that live within Book 2. It represents so much of what I will be revealing and sharing with you, and I cannot wait until I can finally show you all the details and explain why every piece belongs where it does.
But that is not the only visual surprise coming...
Both Book 1 and Book 2 will be receiving brand-new covers. INCLUDING (drum roll please) INSIDE ARTWORK!
And let me tell you... I am obsessed. (HINT HINT)
I have a whirlwind of artists working behind the scenes, and these people are absolute magic. I am someone who wants to control every little detail (because yes, I am that person 😂), and somehow these artists have taken my chaos, my ideas, my references, and my very specific visions and turned them into something beautiful.
They are miracle workers.
Most of the artists I found through VGen and Instagram, and I cannot say enough good things about them. They are professional, kind, creative, and incredibly talented. The artwork deserves to stand beside the story because, in my opinion, it is another way of telling the world of Nexus Crest. (I'll be posting/tagging the artists along with their artwork soon in other posts! I'm thinking tag a snippet from a scene from the book with the artwork and then explaining it like a commentator)
Which leads me to...
**I HAVE CHOSEN THE TITLE.**
AHHHHH.
Yes, imagine the highest-pitched scream possible because I am genuinely that excited.
I am in love with it. The title feels lyrical, just like my writing style of Nexus Crest. It carries symbolism, meaning, and little pieces of the story hidden within it. It is one of those moments where everything finally clicked into place, and I knew there was no other name that could belong to this book. The cherry on top of an already growing obsession. 😉
Now, onto one of the most terrifying and exciting parts... BETA READERS. My BETA readers have officially received their early copies. Which means the waiting game has begun. 😂
Every author needs feedback. Every author needs people willing to step into their world and tell them what worked, what didn’t, what emotions hit hardest, and where things can become stronger. That criticism is what helps make stories better. And this time around, I feel even more attached to the story than I ever have before. I am excited, nervous, and honestly a little terrified to see what they have to say because Book 2 is intense.
I explored a completely new side of myself as a person and as a writer while creating this story. There are moments in this book that pushed me creatively, emotionally, and maybe even a little personally. 😂 (Seriously... Chapter 34. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD.)
I have so many favorite scenes that choosing what to share first is actually becoming a problem.
Do I share the reunited kiss scene?
Do I share the skinny-dipping scene?
Do I share the chaos that happens later? 😏
Or do I share the new information about why Gabrielle is the way she is and why she craves vampire blood so much?
Yeah... That last one might have to wait a little longer. (wahahahahahah)
Outside of writing, I have also been trying to become much more proactive this year when it comes to bundles, discounts, giveaways, advertisements, and finding new ways to bring readers into this world.
Am I good at ads?
Absolutely not. 😂
I am still learning, researching, studying, experimenting, and trying to understand how to make the algorithm work with me instead of feeling like I am constantly fighting against it.
I have also been following so many incredible authors, especially newer authors, and watching how they build their communities, share their stories, create their posts, and connect with readers. I am trying to learn from them, grow, and prepare myself for what I hope will be an incredible journey ahead. Because in person, people flock to me. It's the most shocking thing(but also a beautiful blessing). [[[Unless I’m somewhere extremely prim and proper, then suddenly I’m wondering if I accidentally walked into the wrong building. 😂]]]
I just need to remember to find where my people are. The readers who love dark stories. The readers who love vampires, secrets, romance, mystery, obsession, and the beautiful chaos that comes with a world like Nexus Crest.
So yes...
**Nexus Crest will officially be a series this year.**
It is actually happening!!!!!!
After all the writing, editing, questioning, dreaming, rewriting, and moments where I wondered if I was completely insane for creating something this massive... It is happening.
Thank you for being here. Thank you for waiting. Thank you for caring about this world that has lived inside my head for so long. I cannot wait to bring you back into the halls of Nexus Crest.
