Writing a Vampire Novel...

Creating my own vampire world has been a whirlwind of emotions and historical information all stored in my brain—historical information being tons and tons of movies. I also dabble in research; it’s fun to read about the history of folklore and paranormal/supernatural activity.

But I wanted to create something different—not something entirely out of the spectrum that people couldn’t follow—so it does feel familiar, but the premise and history are totally different. It also doesn’t feature a human and vampire falling in love; I stick with the vampires. I want the reader to be immersed in that society, in that way of life. I want the reader to feel like they are right alongside the FMC. In some cases, I would love readers to even stop reading and still feel like they are that character, experiencing those strong and deep emotions the FMC does throughout her trials and tribulations—even the annoyance from the university, its professors, and homework. Haha!

No, but really, I’m just excited that maybe someone will love my book and want to read more, because there is so much more to the story. So much more in store. So much more to discover.

Thanks for reading, and I can’t wait to update y’all more later!
